Hello with a big hug!! 

I am Lubaina. Friends call me Lubbu. Enemies, well, they don't dare to call me at all.  My love for writing began early. It started with taking notes in school, experimenting with cursive and straight handwritings and collecting all kind of pens and writing materials. And thank my stars, it all worked out perfectly as I turned out to be a doctor with a nice handwriting ( a rarity in its own!). 

And obviously, who would not want a piece of well-written beautiful notes!! So, I became famous in school, college and thereafter at workplace as the doctor with the pretty handwriting. Enough boasting now!! 

Back to the blog! I found solace in poetry from my early years and it came to me naturally as I expressed my feelings and emotions while rhyming the words too. Over the years, the context kept changing from young love to world peace and human rights and mindfulness etc etc. And that made me a self-published author of three poetry books which was a dream come true. It began as a hobby during the lonely days of the 2019 pandemic when I was a frontline doctor in ICUs packed up with the dead and the dying. Emotions running high at every front and I felt the necessity to capture all of those in poems. It did not end there and took form of a tradition to publish a book on poetry or prose every year as a birthday gift to my beloved husband who, by the way, also gets the credit for nudging me on this path. While poems helped me with my emotional turmoil, my fun side also started bubbling up. And what better way to let it out than trying my hand at short comic stories from my everyday life. Facebook provided a great platform to initiate the idea but I abruptly decided to give up social media to stop myself from getting addicted and misinformed. So then, "The Cuckoo Brain" was hatched. From the very many stories that I cooked up in my own frail mind empowered by my idiot brain, I give you a little glimpse here in my blog. And let me warn you. Some of the posts might seem offensive to some particular people but they should probably suck it up and read anyway coz it's fun and are in no way not directed towards them. Also, most of the posts are no brainers and some may not make any sense at all. Don't worry. No one is judging you. Not everyone can be expected to have common sense. I lack it sometimes when I write, too. 

This blog has a little something for everyone. You can find some of my favourite poems, some of my quirky thoughts, some photos of the marvellous places that I travel to, delish foods that I come across, some pictures of generally cute things like flowers and the cat that  owns me and some of the art work from my poetry books that would make great cards, covers and even personalised items for gifting to your loved ones. I will be sharing the links to my books in case you want to have a go at making me rich!! 

That's probably not all about me but pretty much sums up the basic me.
